Green Beach
Green Beach is on Vieques' western tip. It has beautiful turquoise waters and many
distinct beach areas to claim as your own for the day. It also has some of the
finest off-the-beach snorkeling as you head to the south a little.
The writer remembers the most spectacular displays of tropical fish
here of any snorkeling spot in Vieques. Puerto Rico looms as an overpowering giant from the tip of tiny Vieques.
Yachts from the main island sometimes moor offshore on the weekends.
"Mi-mi's" (no-see-ums) can be a problem in the late
afternoon. Shade is at a premium. Sunscreen and bug
spray recommended.
