Gringo Beach
Gringo Beach has good snorkeling when it's calm on the north side
of the island. It's located between the airport and Isabel II in the Martineau area, just west of the
W Resort property.
While snorkeling one afternoon, the writer recalls following (and
being followed by) a pair of spotted eagle rays. These
magnificent creatures are common to the area, as are giant sea fans,
sea turtles and numerous coral formations. And tropical fish,
of course.
