CASA V

Welcome to Casa V! Are you wondering why we would name our vacation home V?
Really, there are a number of reasons. The first is that V is for Vieques. We have been fortunate to visit many islands over the last few years. Once we visited Vieques, we felt we had found our home away from home.

The second is for vacation: enjoy the cool sand, warm sea, miles of beautiful beaches and tropical breezes on this vacation destination.

The third reason is the location. Casa V is located in the heart of Isabel Segunda just up the street from the ferry dock at the ‘V’ in the road connecting the neighborhoods of Bravos de Boston and Santa Maria. The Casa is minutes from the ferry dock and conveniently located within walking distance to a variety of wonderful restaurants, relaxing watering holes, delicious bakeries and well stocked grocery stores. The island’s internet café and several banks are also nearby. Taxi service is available at the bottom of our street.

The fourth reason is for view. Whether you prefer coffee and a good book in the morning sun, a refreshing mango colada (from fruit in our yard when in season) at sunset, a relaxing glass of wine under the stars or all the above, these and so much more are available from our newly built roof top deck. You can also glimpse the historic fort; see waves lapping on the shore and horses passing on the street from the Casa’s roof top deck.

If being on the roof top deck is too much for you as you start your vacation, the Casa also has a wraparound enclosed porch with a table and chairs if you prefer more solitude. Another option is to sit by the mango trees in the backyard which will provide you with some shade.

Casa V is a 3 bed, 2 bath recently renovated and newly furnished home in Isabel Segunda. The Casa has sleeping accommodations for 8. This includes two bedrooms with queen sized beds; a third room with a day bed that can be converted to a king size bed and a futon couch in the living room that can be converted into a full size bed. All sleeping accommodations have an ample supply of 100% cotton sheets, blankets and hypo-allergenic pillows. All of the bedrooms and living room have ceiling fans to circulate the cool tropical breezes that reach the Casa. Also, the master bedroom has air conditioning and a private door leading to the yard.

The kitchen is fully equipped and includes:

  • Full size refrigerator with freezer
  • Four burner gas range with oven
  • Microwave oven
  • Automatic drip coffee maker with filters
  • 4 slice toaster
  • A blender
  • Full set of pots and pans
  • Dishes, glassware, utensils, serving dishes and food storage containers
  • A wide variety of herbs and spices

The bathrooms have 100% cotton towels, a hairdryer, ironing board with iron and a new washer and dryer for your convenience.

Additional amenities include:

  • Beach chairs
  • Beach coolers
  • Beach towels
  • Books
  • CD player
  • Clock radios
  • Flashlights
  • Inside and outside dining areas
  • Patio furniture for the porch and roof top deck
  • Recommendations on our favorite restaurants and beaches as well as books and maps on how to find these and any other island location.

Casa V also has a fenced in yard, mango trees and a small garage for your car if you choose.

We also know how long your travel day can be when heading to your vacation. To help when you arrive, our property manager will meet you at the airport or ferry dock. She will then bring you to pick up your rental car, should you have one, and then to the Casa. Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask her at that time or anytime during your stay at the Casa.

We hope you enjoy your stay on Vieques and in our Casa as much as we have.
